| Children are remarkable! Every moment and every experience helps them learn and grow. Research shows that listening and engaging in musical activities stimulates both hemispheres of the brain, fostering cognitive development.
As a Board Certified Music Therapist, the children in Ms. Julie’s classes are involved with music experiences intentionally developed to facilitate communication, social, emotional, sensori-motor, and cognitive skills. Music stimulates all of the senses and involves the child at many levels, which facilitates developmental skills.
Children in Ms. Julie’s classes are encouraged to explore music through playing music, listening, singing, structured movement and free-style dance, and rhythmic exercises. The enjoyable music activities are designed to be success-oriented and encourage the children to be creative, making them feel good about themselves.
Ms. Julie’s energy and knowledge appeal to children at all levels. Experienced in working with several local schools, private lessons, as well as for special government programs developed by Ms. Bloch for troubled children, Julie knows how to teach and fascinate children with music and activities.
Learning about rhythms, sounds, and various instruments, the children that are involved in Ms. Julie’s classes are given the foundations in appreciating music.
THESE INFANTS ARE RECEIVING INFORMAL MUSIC LESSONS.
