Julie Nissa Bloch's intensely emotional performances have captivated audiences. Admired for her ability to express different moods within music, Ms. Bloch lets her soul sing through her violin.
Ms. Julie Nissa Bloch began her violin studies at age six through the Suzuki method. Within six months, Julie's talent led her to begin private study. Ms. Bloch diligently continued her studies through various teachers and performances in several chamber groups and orchestral ensembles. At age fifteen, Julie left home to attend the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, an internationally known Fine Arts boarding school for the gifted. After high school at Interlochen Arts Academy, she received a violin scholarship to attend Michigan State University's music program, where she majored in Music Therapy and Psychology. Ms. Bloch has received numerous scholarships and awards throughout her twenty years of experience.
Ms. Bloch continues to perform both her solo and concerto repertoire at events throughout the tri-county area, as well as her regular work with several older adult communities, schools, and special government programs. She performs music from 1900's to current popular music, cultural music from around the world, as well as classical music. Ms. Bloch's passion is music and she enjoys performing for audiences of all ages.
